Udaipur: BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Monday announced the national executive and appointed Udaipur MP Dr Mannalal Rawat as the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Scheduled Tribe (ST) Morcha.
Rawat’s appointment is being considered significant for the organisational expansion of the BJP among tribal communities in Rajasthan as well as across the country.

After being appointed national president, Dr Mannalal Rawat expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Nitin Nabin. He said he would discharge the important responsibility entrusted to him by the party with full dedication and commitment.
Dr Rawat said efforts would be made to take the work and schemes being undertaken by the Central Government for the development of tribal communities, including education, healthcare, employment and expansion of basic facilities, to tribal communities across the country.
He also said work would be undertaken to further strengthen the party organisation in tribal areas and connect members of the community with the party’s ideology and development initiatives.
New Responsibility Seen as Significant for Rajasthan
Dr Rawat’s appointment as national president is expected to strengthen the BJP among tribal communities in Rajasthan. His active engagement with tribal communities, particularly in Mewar and southern Rajasthan, makes the new responsibility significant from both political and organisational perspectives.
With the Udaipur MP being given charge of the Scheduled Tribe Morcha at the national level, Rajasthan has also received significant representation in the BJP’s central organisation.
Dr Rawat will now play an important role in taking the BJP organisation and government schemes effectively to tribal communities across the country.
