Chaudhary and added that it was the responsibility of the workers to maintain unity and strengthen the organisation while working to further improve the facilities available to them.
Focus on Labour Codes and Worker Welfare
Shrimal said the government has implemented four labour codes and that workers would have to collectively consider the problems arising from them and work towards finding solutions.
Unit Head Vivek Yadav said the organisation and management would have to move forward through joint efforts. He said that along with expansion of production capacity, special attention would be given to safety and environmental protection.
Acting President of Zinc Smelter Mazdoor Sangh, Mangilal Ahir, said in his address that in a democracy, organisational work should be carried out with the spirit of “we” rather than “me”.
He said Zinc Smelter Debari had received the Chairman’s Award, which was achieved through the discipline of the workers, cooperation from the organisation, guidance from the management and support from residents of the surrounding rural areas.
