TCS Shares Gain After Partnering with Tata Motors to Drive Sustainability Transformation

Mumbai, October 31 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) rose nearly 0.85% in early trade on Friday after the company announced a five-year strategic partnership with Tata Motors to accelerate the automaker’s sustainability and ESG transformation through digital innovation.

The stock opened at Rs. 3033.00 on the BSE and was trading at Rs. 3061.50, up Rs. 25.95 from its previous close of Rs. 3035.55. During the session, the scrip touched an intraday high of Rs. 3067.00 and a low of Rs. 3026.70, with 17,292 shares traded so far.

The IT giant’s market capitalization stands at Rs. 10,97,365.94 crore. The stock has a 52-week high of Rs. 4494.00 (10-Dec-2024) and a 52-week low of Rs. 2867.55 (01-Oct-2025). Over the last week, it has traded between Rs. 3093.75 and Rs. 3026.70.

In terms of shareholding, promoters hold 71.77%, while institutions and non-institutions own 23.03% and 5.20%, respectively.

About the Partnership

Under this partnership, Tata Motors’ sustainability platform ‘Prakriti’, powered by the AI-driven TCS Intelligent Urban Exchange (IUX), will enable real-time ESG data monitoring, automated compliance reporting, and data-driven sustainability insights. The collaboration aims to strengthen Tata Motors’ ability to measure and reduce its environmental footprint across all manufacturing plants.

The Prakriti platform—co-developed with inputs from Tata Motors’ experts—has been customized to address the company’s operational and sustainability needs. By integrating all ESG data into a unified digital ecosystem, Tata Motors will be able to track emissions, ensure SEBI BRSR compliance, and extend sustainability efforts across its entire supply chain.

The TCS IUX platform brings AI-enabled configurability tailored to automotive operations, enabling efficient ESG tracking, regulatory alignment, and sustainable digitization across Tata Motors’ employees, suppliers, and dealers.
