BJPs Pradeep Bhandari Questions Rahul Gandhis Memory

New Delhi, September 18 (Udaipur Kiran) : BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari recently took a jab at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, questioning whether he has forgotten his party’s history. Speaking in New Delhi on September 18, Bhandari labeled Congress a “bhassmasur party,” suggesting that it has been responsible for the formation of various regional parties due to its past actions.

Bhandari remarked, “Has Rahul Gandhi become like Gajini? Congress is a party that has fractured every regional party, leading them to break away because they were fed up with Congress.” He emphasized the need for Congress to remember its historical context.

Highlighting Congress’s fragmented history, Bhandari noted that the party has had three different election symbols since 1952, indicating its repeated divisions. He claimed that there have been approximately 70 splits within Congress since 1951, citing examples such as Sharad Pawar and Mamata Banerjee forming their own parties.

He further stated that the recent democratic actions taken against the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal are a sign of respect for democracy, rather than its demise. According to him, the lack of support for Mamata Banerjee and her party reflects a broader trend of democratic accountability.

Bhandari criticized Congress for its historical actions, including the imposition of the Emergency and the destabilization of the first communist government, asserting that such actions have threatened democracy in India. He concluded by suggesting that Congress has never truly understood the Constitution, which he believes has led to a disregard for common sense and logic in its political dealings. As a result, he argued, Gandhi’s agitation stems from a collective awareness of Congress’s history among the public.
