Jaipur, September 18 (Udaipur Kiran) : BJP leader Rajendra Rathore recently stated that the Delhi High Court has acknowledged his letter regarding a song from the series “Mirzapur.” He dismissed allegations made by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, asserting that the BJP performed strongly in the municipal elections.
Commenting on the controversial song, Rathore expressed, “The Delhi High Court has delivered a commendable judgment. I wrote to the chairman of the censor board, highlighting how the portrayal of a song dedicated to Maharana Pratap was linked to violence, which hurt the sentiments of those who respect him.”
Addressing Gehlot’s remarks, Rathore noted, “The number of winning councilors is clear to the public. If independent candidates, influenced by Bhajan Lal Sharma’s policies and urban development manifesto, choose to join the BJP, why should we not accept their support? When defeat looms, Congress leaders blame EVMs and other factors.”
He further stated, “If independent candidates voluntarily support the BJP, we will welcome them. If this causes discomfort to anyone, so be it. The Congress’s facade has been exposed nationwide. The party is fragmented, and its prominent leaders, including Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, have remained confined to their home regions during the municipal elections.”
Rathore also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday is being celebrated as a service commitment by the people of India, questioning why Congress and Gehlot are troubled by public service initiatives linked to this occasion.
In a related note, BJP state president Madan Rathore criticized Swara Bhasker’s comments, stating that those who complain about a lack of freedom of expression should feel ashamed for making offensive remarks regarding the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He emphasized that such individuals only target Hinduism and should demonstrate the same boldness when discussing other religions, as their actions are emboldened by the tolerance shown by others.
