Bhilwara, October 28 (Udaipur Kiran) — Two women were killed and two others seriously injured after a speeding car lost control and overturned in a field near Laxmipur on National Highway-148 in Bhilwara district’s Gulabpura area on Monday evening.

According to police, all four occupants of the car were travelling from Kota to Jodhpur when the accident occurred. The injured were identified as Chanda Devi (75), wife of Nemichand Jain, resident of Karera (Madhya Pradesh); Manju Devi (55), wife of Anil Jain, resident of Gwalior; Shivkumar Goyal (61), son of Premchand Goyal, resident of Kota; and Seema Goyal (52), wife of Shivkumar Goyal, also from Kota.
Locals rushed to the spot after the crash and, with the help of an ambulance, took the injured to Gulabpura Hospital. Chanda Devi and Manju Devi, who sustained critical injuries, were referred to Bhilwara for advanced treatment, where both succumbed during treatment.
Gulabpura police reached the scene shortly after receiving the information and used a crane to pull the damaged car out of the field. The vehicle has been seized and kept at the police station.
Station House Officer Hanuman Singh said that the families of the deceased have been informed, and post-mortem will be conducted once they arrive. The police have started an investigation into the incident.
