Dubai, June 17 : The scorching heat in Saudi Arabia has posed a challenge for Hajj pilgrims. Temperatures during Hajj have soared above 47 degrees Celsius, particularly affecting elderly pilgrims. In Makkah, six people have died due to severe heat.
According to recent information, 14 Jordanian pilgrims have died during the Hajj pilgrimage, and 17 others are reported missing.
This information was confirmed by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement released on Sunday. Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Jordan had confirmed the deaths of six Jordanian citizens due to heat stroke at Mount Arafat.
However, several local sources have reported a higher number, stating that 17 pilgrims have died, with their names also being disclosed.
