Jaipur, July 14, 2025 – In a decisive step toward strengthening India’s defense preparedness and technological self-reliance, Sapta Shakti Command is set to organize a two-day Technical Seminar and Exhibition themed ‘Next Generation Combat: Shaping Tomorrow’s Military Today’ on July 16 and 17, 2025, at Jaipur Military Station. The event is being held in collaboration with CLAWS (Centre for Land Warfare Studies) and SIDM (Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers).

India’s commitment to becoming a Viksit Bharat — a developed nation — is increasingly rooted in defense innovation, indigenous R&D, and civil-military synergy. The recent success of Operation SINDOOR, which focused on precise, proportionate, and technology-enabled operations, highlighted India’s growing capability to deploy indigenous technologies in live strategic environments.
Strategic Themes and Discussions
The seminar will host five high-impact panel discussions that will delve into key strategic pillars:
-
Defence Innovation Ecosystem
-
AI-Based Military Solutions
-
Autonomous and Unmanned Technologies
-
Critical Indigenous Research & Development
These sessions will explore how cutting-edge technologies are redefining warfare, the role of AI in India’s evolving defense posture, and how emerging material sciences can enhance operational capabilities. Experts will also chart a strategic blueprint to institutionalize military-civil fusion, a vital catalyst for long-term national security.
Exhibition & Industry Participation
A concurrent technology exhibition will showcase innovations developed by startups, MSMEs, and other key players in the Indian defense sector. The exhibition will reflect the vibrant innovation ecosystem and act as a catalyst for cross-sector collaboration between military and civilian domains.
An important MoU with a leading civil agency is expected to be signed during the event, further boosting public-private cooperation in the defense space.
Participation and Live Streaming
Over 500 participants, including senior military officers, veterans, policymakers, and industry leaders, are expected to attend. The event will also be streamed live on YouTube via the official channel @SouthWesternCommand-IndianArmy, ensuring wider engagement and public outreach.
