Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 may be announced in July alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The foldable flip phone is rumored to have been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in the past few months. The phone is also said to have appeared in the FV-5 camera database. The purported BIS certification confirms the Indian launch and the FV-5’s camera list reveals a better rear camera setup.
91Mobiles reports that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 has been certified by BIS with model number SM-F741B. Screenshots of the fact sheet shared by the publication show that he received the certificate on Monday (May 20). The listing hints at the foldable device’s launch in India, but does not reveal any specifications.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 camera was also found in the FV-5 database. The listing offers a 12.5-megapixel primary sensor, which is believed to mean a 50-megapixel camera with pixel binning. The focal length of the sensor is 5.4 mm, it can have optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS). The 50-megapixel main camera on the back is a significant improvement over last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 5, which had a 12-megapixel main camera.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 was spotted on Geekbench last month with the model number SM-F741U. It is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy mobile platform, Android 14 operating system and 6.75 GB of RAM.
Previous leaks and rumors about the upcoming flip phone suggest that it will have a larger display than the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is available with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of internal memory. It supports 25W charging.
The second Samsung Unpacked event of 2024 is rumored to take place on July 10. As the expected release date approaches, more details about the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Surface are also appearing online.
