Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to be officially released in the second half of this year alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The South Korean company is expected to use Qualcomm and Exynos chipsets in its next-generation foldable phones this year.
Amidst these rumors, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 with a special Snapdragon chipset appeared on the Geekbench website. This high-performance SoC with high-frequency Prime Core processor and high-frequency GPU is already used in the flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra.
A Samsung phone with model number SM-F741U has been spotted on Geekbench. The listing, believed to be the Galaxy Z Flip 6, shows a Vulkan score of 15,084, an OpenCL score of 14,325, an octa-core processor with a base frequency of 2.26GHz and a peak frequency of 3.40GHz. and an Adreno 750 GPU These processor frequencies and GPUs are designed for the Galaxy Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 runs Android 14 and has 6.75GB of RAM. On paper, this equates to 8GB. The posts are dated April 17 and were first spotted by SamMobile.
Samsung equipped the Galaxy S24 Ultra with the same unique Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform with overclocked CPU and GPU cores for the Galaxy SoC. Both the regular Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ use the same chipset in some markets.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 at a separate event in Paris in July. It is said to have a larger display than the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and a 120Hz refresh rate instead of 60Hz.
It will be available in 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. Available in blue, light green, silver and yellow. The foldable device is said to support 25W charging.
