According to a new leak, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE could come onto the market this year. Samsung made a strange decision when launching the Galaxy S23 FE, leaving out a spot in the middle to replace the Galaxy S21 FE. However, information about the next-generation FE range has leaked, suggesting a likely launch. However, it is unclear whether the smartphone will be announced alongside the new foldable smartphone during the Galaxy Unpacked event in July or in October to coincide with the launch of the previous model.
An X-Advisor (formerly Twitter) with the username @OreXda has shared some key specifications about the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE in a post. Smartphones are still in their infancy, so not much is known about them. However, if the details are correct, the company has made some interesting changes to the upcoming phone. One of the big changes could be the display size as leaks suggest that the smartphone may feature a 6.1-inch AMOLED display. This means this phone could be even smaller as the previous model had a 6.4-inch screen.
Otherwise, the smartphone uses the Exynos 2400 SoC. The source also shared that it could be powered by the 3rd generation Snapdragon 8 chipset, albeit with some limitations. “But I think this FE will only use Exynos globally,” the source said. Therefore, the chances of the Indian version not being equipped with a Qualcomm processor are very high. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is said to come with 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage and 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Finally, the device should have a 4,500 mAh battery like its predecessor. No details about the camera, design or color options were given.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE was launched in October 2023. It features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED 2X dynamic display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In India, the internal Exynos 2200 chipset comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The Galaxy S23 FE’s rear triple camera unit includes a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera. A perforated cutout at the top center of the display houses a 10-megapixel front camera sensor for selfies and video calls. Powering this phone is a 4500mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging.
