RPF Recruitment 2024 : Notification out for 4660 Sub-Inspector, Constable posts, registration begins Tomorrow

RRB RPF Recruitment 2024: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) today announced the recruitment notification for the posts of Inspector and Constable in Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) on April 14, 2024. The online application process for Sub-Inspector and Constable for RPF Recruitment 2024 is scheduled to commence on April 15, 2024 and close on May 14, 2024. Through this recruitment, a total of 4,660 vacancies have been filled, of which 4,208 people are expected to be filled. These posts are reserved for constables and the remaining 452 posts are reserved for sub-inspectors.

Educational Qualification

Sub-Inspector: Should have a postgraduate degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.

Constable: You must have passed the 10th standard examination or its equivalent from a board recognized by the Government of India.

Age limit

  • Sub-Inspector: The age limit for Sub-Inspector is between 20 and 28 years.
  • Constable: The age limit for Constable is between 18 and 28 years.

Selection process

  • 1. Computer Based Online Test (CBT): All candidates take the online CBT test.
  • 2. Shortlist: Based on the CBT performance, the candidate list will be added to the shortlist. The number of finalists is 10 times the number of vacancies in each category (men/women/ex-military). Selections are made based on performance in each category.
  • 3. Physical inspection and verification of documents

Final candidates (excluding former military personnel) will take the following test:

  • Physical Performance Test (PET)
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • Document verification (DV)

Note: Former military personnel are exempt from the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), but are required to complete the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Document Verification (DV). If there are not enough qualified candidates after the first round of PET/PMT, additional candidates will be called for the second round based on their CBT performance in each category. A maximum of two PET/PMT rounds will be conducted for each category.
