The Redmi Note 14 Pro is expected to launch soon alongside the Redmi 14 and Redmi 14 Pro+. In recent weeks, rumors have surfaced that point to various details about the upcoming mobile phone. A new leak suggests that the Redmi Note 14 Pro could be powered by the recently launched Qualcomm processor. Although the release is expected in China and worldwide, there may be minor differences between the models released in the two regions.
Redmi Note 14 Pro specifications (to be expected)
XiaomiTime reports that the Redmi Note 14 Pro may be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. The processor was recently unveiled and promises 20 percent better CPU performance and 40 percent better GPU performance than the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, supporting artificial intelligence (AI) with a dedicated AI engine.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro features three camera setups, albeit with slight differences between the global and China-only versions. The global model is expected to come with a telephoto lens, while the Chinese version may also have a macro lens. The smartphone will be internally codenamed ‘Amethyst’ and its model number will be O16U.
According to previous reports, the Redmi Note 14 Pro camera module could have a “bigger” 50-megapixel primary sensor. It recently appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with the model number 24094RAD4I, indicating that it will soon be launched in India.
All variants of the Redmi Note 14 series have a 1.5K resolution AMOLED display. If this rumor turns out to be true, it means that the regular model could get a display upgrade to the Redmi Note 13’s 1080p screen.
Also, the IMEI database indicates that the Redmi Note 14 series will be launched in September. Renderings of the device have also reportedly surfaced online, suggesting that the Xiaomi 14 may come with a redesigned camera module to match the look of the device. It has curved edges compared to the flat-edged design of its predecessor.
