New Delhi, April 7 : Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday adjourned the House sine die. As soon as the House assembled to conduct the business of the day, members from the Congress raised slogans over price rise demanding a debate on the issue. Naidu appealed them to maintain the decorum of the House. “This is totally against the democratic spirit and norms of the House. I feel very sad. Is this the message you want to give to the country on the last day of the House?” Naidu said. “Don’t unnecessarily register negative thoughts on my mind. So, if you don’t want to hear the concluding remarks, I can adjourn the House without them,” he said during Zero Hour before adjourning the House. During Zero Hour, which was cut short following disruption from the opposition, BJP’s Sushil Kumar Modi raises the issue of Kashmiri Pandits and asked the Centre to set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to be headed by a retired Judge of the Supreme Court to probe the mass killings. He also demanded that the investigation should be monitored by the apex court besides reopening all the cases related to killings of the Kashmiri Pandits so that the culprits get the most stringent p shment.
