Rajasthan Weather Update: Storm and Rain Alert Issued for 7 Districts Today, Ajmer Opens Ana Sagar Gates After Heavy Showers

Jaipur, May 31: The Jaipur Meteorological Center has issued a storm and rain alert for seven districts in Rajasthan today, with the forecast expanding to 17 districts on June 1. A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to become active on June 2, which could bring another wave of dust storms, strong winds, and moderate rainfall across large parts of the state.

Rajasthan Weather Update

Storms Cool Down the State

Following widespread rainfall and gusty winds on Friday, several parts of Rajasthan recorded a drop in maximum temperatures, bringing temporary relief from the scorching summer heat.
Cities like Dausa, Pali, Jhunjhunu, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Churu, and Chittorgarh all saw daytime temperatures fall below 40°C.

In Ajmer, heavy showers hit around 6 PM, following a hot day. The 30-minute downpour was intense enough to cause urban flooding and waterlogged roads. In response, the Ajmer municipal authorities opened three gates of Ana Sagar Lake by 3 inches each to manage the overflow.
