Jaipur, October 6, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday trapped Sukhdev Jat, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police at Pratap Nagar Police Station under Jaipur East Commissionerate, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant.

The ACB said a written complaint was submitted by the complainant at the ACB Police Station SU First Jaipur on August 11, 2026. The complaint alleged that Jat, who was the investigating officer in a case registered at Pratap Nagar Police Station, had demanded Rs 10,000 for effective follow-up in the cases, providing assistance, arresting the accused and submitting the charge sheet.
During verification of the complaint, the demand for Rs 10,000 by the accused Assistant Sub-Inspector was found to be established.
Bribe Money Recovered From Uniform Pocket
Following the verification, the ACB conducted the trap operation on Tuesday under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Piyush Dixit. The operation was carried out by Deputy Superintendent of Police Archana Meena.
During the trap, the accused allegedly received Rs 10,000 from the complainant and kept the money in the pocket of the khaki uniform trousers he was wearing. The ACB team recovered the bribe amount from his possession.
Prima facie, the ACB found that work related to the complainant was pending with the accused.
Further Investigation Underway
The ACB said questioning of Sukhdev Jat and further proceedings are underway under the supervision of Additional Director General Smita Srivastava and Inspector General of Police S. Parimala.
The ACB will register a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and conduct further investigation.
The bureau also said that if a case, complaint or preliminary inquiry is registered against any person with the ACB, the person can directly contact the bureau and submit their side or explanation. The ACB said such explanations are analysed in detail before a decision is taken during the investigation.
The ACB said this information is important to prevent people from becoming victims of fraud in the name of ACB action.
