Jaipur, October 5 (Udaipur Kiran News): The weather in Rajasthan is set to turn turbulent from Sunday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an orange alert for heavy rainfall, hailstorms, and strong winds in several districts. The change is attributed to an active Western Disturbance moving across North India.

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, the weather system will remain active till October 8, with October 5 and 6 witnessing the most intense impact. Winds are expected to blow at 30–40 km/h, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail at isolated places.

The orange alert covers districts in Jaipur and Bikaner divisions, including Jaipur, Tonk, Ajmer, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Bikaner, and Churu, where heavy rainfall and hail are likely.
Other regions including Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Barmer, Jhalawar, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Jalore, Dungarpur, Banswara, and Pratapgarh may experience moderate rain and thunderstorms.

IMD Director Radheshyam Sharma stated that the Western Disturbance will have its peak impact on October 5 and 6, with most parts of the state witnessing rain, hailstorms, and gusty winds.
The system is expected to gradually weaken after October 8.
