Ranchi, October 6 (Udaipur Kiran): The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for 17 districts of Jharkhand, warning of thunderstorms, strong winds, and lightning on Tuesday.

According to the department, apart from the northeastern districts — Deoghar, Dumka, Jamtara, Simdega, Pakur, Sahibganj, and Godda — all other districts are likely to experience thunder and gusty winds. Light rainfall is also expected in some areas.
On Monday, Ranchi and nearby regions witnessed clear skies and warm sunshine, bringing relief from continuous rainfall over the past few days. People resumed their regular routines amid pleasant weather.
In the past 24 hours, Jamshedpur recorded the highest temperature at 33.2°C, while Latehar was the coldest at 19.2°C. Other maximum temperatures recorded were Ranchi (27.6°C), Daltonganj (30.1°C), Bokaro (30.5°C), Chaibasa (30.8°C), and Lohardaga (26.6°C).
