Jaipur, March 9 – The scorching summer heat has begun to grip Rajasthan, with temperatures rising steadily due to the impact of dry western winds. The intense daytime heat is causing people to break into a sweat, while the morning and evening coolness is gradually fading.
For the second consecutive day, Barmer recorded a maximum temperature of over 38°C, while temperatures in Jaisalmer, Jalore, and Dungarpur also soared to 36°C. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Rajasthan, the next 4-5 days will remain dry, with further increases in temperature expected. However, cloudy conditions may develop in some regions around Holi (Dhulandi) and the following day.

Barmer Records Rajasthan’s Highest Temperature at 38.4°C
On Saturday, Barmer recorded the state’s highest temperature of 38.4°C, with hot winds making conditions even more uncomfortable in Barmer, Jalore, and Jaisalmer. Several major cities, including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, and Udaipur, saw their maximum temperatures surpass the seasonal average.

The only exception was Mount Abu, Rajasthan’s hill station, where the maximum temperature remained at 26.2°C.
Weather Forecast: Rising Temperatures & Possible Cloud Cover
The Jaipur Meteorological Center predicts that:
✔ Dry weather will persist across Rajasthan until March 12.
✔ Maximum temperatures may rise by another 2°C over the next few days.
✔ On Holi (Dhulandi) or the following day, light clouds may form over northern Rajasthan, particularly in Ganganagar and Hanumangarh.
✔ No rainfall is expected in the coming days.
