Bengaluru : A court in Bengaluru has granted bail to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a defamation case. The next hearing is scheduled for July 30.
Rahul Gandhi arrived in Bengaluru on Friday morning to appear before the court, where he was welcomed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Shivakumar. Party workers were strictly instructed to avoid any political slogans or activities.

During the state assembly elections, Rahul Gandhi had published a controversial advertisement in newspapers, accusing the Karnataka government of taking a 40% commission in all projects.
The advertisement also claimed that the Karnataka government was involved in several corruption cases. Rahul had also posted about this on his social media accounts.
Following these allegations by the Congress, BJP leader Keshav Prasad filed a case against Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar.
Earlier, on June 1, the special court had granted bail to Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar. After getting the bail, Rahul waved his hand and bid farewell to everyone. He refrained from making any comments in front of the media during this time.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi was supposed to appear before the Sultanpur court in another defamation case, but his lawyers filed a plea stating that he would not be able to appear due to illness. In 201
