Udaipur – In a joint initiative with Rajasthan Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Finance and Development Cooperative Corporation Limited, Udaipur, the Rahda Foundation organised a special awareness programme to inform members of underprivileged and marginalised communities about welfare schemes aimed at promoting self-employment.

The event focused on reaching Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, sanitation workers, and differently-abled individuals with information on schemes that offer financial assistance and support for starting their own businesses. These schemes primarily provide low-interest loans for various entrepreneurial activities.
Government Officials Share Detailed Scheme Information
Representatives from the department, including Assistant Administrative Officer Mohit Makhija, Information Assistant Bapu Lal Meena, and Santosh Sen, were present at the event. They gave detailed insights into different schemes related to self-employment, entrepreneurship development, training, and financial aid. Attendees were informed that loans at minimal interest rates are available to help start or expand small businesses.
From the Rahda Foundation, founder Archana Singh Charan and associate Madhubala Poobia attended the programme. They appreciated the department’s efforts and assured continued support for such welfare initiatives. The event was coordinated by Rekha Purohit.

Medicinal Plant Distribution for Environmental Awareness
The programme concluded with the distribution of tulsi and other medicinal plants to promote environmental conservation.
