Barmer, October 7 (Udaipur Kiran): In a shocking incident, a 37-year-old woman, mother of four children, was brutally murdered in her home in Sutharon Ki Dhani, Bhawar village, under the Sedwa police station area of Barmer district on Monday evening.

Police said the victim, Mamta (37), wife of Binjaram, was living with her four sons while her husband works in Jodhpur in the handicraft business. Binjaram is also reportedly married for the second time, and his second wife lives in Jodhpur.
The gruesome murder took place when the woman was alone at home, as her children were at school. When the four boys returned in the evening, they found their mother lying in a pool of blood with severe head injuries.
On hearing the children’s cries, villagers rushed to the scene and immediately informed the police. The Sedwa police team reached the spot, sealed the area, and began an investigation.
Superintendent of Police Narendra Singh Meena, along with senior officers including ASP and DSP Madan Singh, visited the scene late at night. The FSL and MOB teams were called in to collect forensic evidence.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the woman was murdered by repeatedly smashing her head against the wall. Bloodstains were found on the wall, and deep injuries were observed on her head. The police have collected key evidence from the spot for forensic examination.
The body has been kept at the mortuary of Chohatan Hospital for post-mortem. SP Meena confirmed that multiple police teams have been formed to probe the case from all angles, including possible domestic disputes related to the husband’s second marriage.
He assured that the case will be solved soon. The incident has sparked shock and outrage in the area, with locals demanding immediate arrest of the culprits. A large crowd gathered at both the hospital and the crime scene seeking justice for the victim.
