MG Motor India today announced the launch of the MG Hector Blackstorm Edition. Starting prices start at Rs 2,125,000 for the CVT petrol version and Rs 2,276,000 for the 6-seater MT diesel version (all prices are ex-showroom prices). . Interested customers can book the SUV online or at their nearest dealer. Delivery should begin soon.
Hector Blackstorm is the brand’s third Blackstrom release, following Gloucester and Astor. The SUV is available in five, six and seven passenger configurations and is based on the second Sharp Pro trim level. Depending on the variant, the Hector Blackstorm costs 25,000 rupees more.
In terms of design, the Hector Blackstorm Edition gets an exterior paint finish in Star Black with a metal-clad radiator grille accentuated by red accents all around. It also features a dark chrome grille with black headlight bezels, tinted taillights, 18-inch blacked alloy wheels with red brake calipers and black ORVMs with red accents. Interested customers can also choose the “Blackstorm” front fender logo from their dealer at no additional cost.
Inside, the Hector Blackstorm gets the same dashboard design, but here an all-black design with metallic accents on the center console, air vents, door panels and steering wheel. The seats are covered in black leather and “Blackstorm” is emblazoned on the headrests.

Features include a 14.0-inch touchscreen, an infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car technology, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, automatic climate control and the electric driver’s seat. Panoramic sunroof, six airbags, stability control, traction control and a range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
The Hector Blackstorm is available with two engines: a 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine with 143 hp and 250 Nm torque and Fiat’s 2 liter MultiJet turbo diesel engine with 170 hp and 350 Nm torque. The petrol engine is only available with a CVT transmission and the diesel only with a 6-speed manual transmission.
