Shillong, June 6: A significant opportunity has arisen for youth preparing for government jobs and awaiting vacancies. The Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC), Shillong, has issued an official notification inviting applications for 11 positions of Fisheries Officer under the Directorate of Fisheries and 11 positions of Junior Football Coach under the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Shillong.
The online application process for these vacancies commenced on May 25, with the final date for submission set for June 25. Candidates wishing to apply for these positions can submit their registration forms on the official MPSC portal by 5 PM on the deadline date.
Applicants for the Fisheries Officer position must possess a BFSc or BSc (Fisheries/Fishery Science) from any recognized university or institution. For the Junior Football Coach post, candidates should be graduates from any stream and hold a one-year sports coaching diploma from the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS) or any other institution/university/college recognized by the Government of India. Preference will be given to those who have won medals in recognized international/national/regional championships.
The minimum age for applicants is 18 years, with a maximum age limit of 27 for the Fisheries Officer and 32 for the Junior Football Coach position, calculated as of January 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a screening test, personal interview, and other stages, with salaries ranging between levels 11 to 12 of the revised pay structure for selected candidates.
While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹350 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and ₹175 for SC/ST candidates. Candidates from the PWD category are exempt from the registration fee.
