Sangli : With amid sounds with chanting slogans of martyr in a pall of gloom, the mortal remains of martyr soldier Romit Chavan, who killed in Zenpura of Shopiyan tehsil in Jammu and Kashmir, today at Shigaon village of this district in full of military honors. Martyr Chavan’s dead body, which arrived at Shigaon early this morning by special air-force plan on lohgaon in Pune, reached this morning at his native village Shigaon and out his body at Hutmata Rajendra Patil Chowk for darshan. Thousand if peoples took last darshan’ of martyr Romit Chavan.Later with taking a procession of the dead body, last rights took place at crematorium with full of military honors giving ‘guard of honors by military soldiers. District guardian minister Jayant Patil, district collector Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari, district superindent of police Dixit Gedam and other political leaders, goverment officers were present for funeral.
