Jaipur: Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (Jio) has continued to leverage its strong 5G network and has solidified its dominance in Rajasthan’s telecom market, boasting a wireless subscriber base of 2.69 crores as of April 30, 2024.

The latest TRAI report reveals that Jio added 1.86 lakh new mobile subscribers in April. In comparison, Bharti Airtel saw an increase of 31,921 subscribers, while Vodafone Idea and BSNL experienced declines, losing 7,856 and 54,996 subscribers, respectively.
In the wireline segment, Jio added 20,298 subscribers, while Bharti Airtel added 4,715 subscribers. Vodafone Idea and BSNL lost 120 and 3,349 subscribers in the wireline segment, respectively.
Jio’s Q4 revenue in Rajasthan increased by Rs. 32 crores, bringing the total to Rs. 1,490 crores for the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year. Airtel’s revenue grew by Rs. 26 crores, reaching Rs. 1,474 crores in the same period. Meanwhile, Vodafone Idea’s revenue decreased by Rs. 7 crores, with quarterly revenues at Rs. 501 crores.
The wireless subscriber base for Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and BSNL stand at 2.33 crores, 1.06 crores, and 55.07 lakhs, respectively. Rajasthan’s total telecom subscriber count is now 6.64 crores.
