Ahmedabad, March 9: Team India has clinched the T20 World Cup 2026 title at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium on Sunday, defeating New Zealand by 96 runs under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav. This victory marks India’s third T20 World Cup win.
The journey of T20 World Cup champions has seen several notable captains over the years. MS Dhoni led India to its first title in 2007, defeating Pakistan. In 2009, Younis Khan guided Pakistan to victory against Sri Lanka. Paul Collingwood captained England to their first title in 2010, overcoming Australia.
