IAS Trainees Visit Narayan Seva Sansthan in Udaipur

Udaipur, March 9, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Eleven trainee officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, visited Narayan Seva Sansthan on Monday and observed the organisation’s work in the fields of education, medical care and social rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.

During the visit, the officers interacted with differently-abled individuals who had arrived from various parts of the country for free treatment, artificial limbs and calipers. The trainees also understood their challenges and gathered information about the services and facilities available at the institute.

According to Prashant Agarwal, President of the institute, the delegation was led by Group Leader Gosika P.R. and Associate Group Leader Ankit Pandey. Other members of the team included Hariprasath M, Sushant Kumar, Shivani Mohan, Saksham Bhatia, Patil Krishna Babruwan, Kumud Mishra, Farkhanda Qureshi, Divyansh Meena and Abhishek Kumar Singh.

The trainee officers toured the Badi campus of the institution and observed the arrangements for surgeries for persons with disabilities. They also visited vocational training centres such as sewing, mobile repair and computer training units, along with the artificial limb and caliper manufacturing workshop.

The team also visited the Narayan Children Academy, where free digital education is provided to underprivileged children, and showed keen interest in the students’ talents and creative activities.

Institute Director Vandana Agarwal welcomed the visiting officers by presenting a traditional uparama and memento and briefed them about the organisation’s free service projects. Dr. Vishal Agarwal explained the treatment process of persons with disabilities through the Ilizarov method, while Dr. Manas Ranjan Sahu provided information about the technology and types of artificial limbs and calipers manufactured at the institute.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mahim Jain.
