Udaipur, Rajasthan – March 30, 2025: Hindustan Zinc’s transformative efforts towards women empowerment were celebrated at the grand Sakhi Utsav organized at Zawar Stadium under its flagship CSR initiative. More than 1,000 women participated enthusiastically in the event, showcasing strength, unity, and cultural vibrancy through sports, dance, and community engagement.

Women Empowerment Takes Center Stage
Member of Parliament Mannalal Rawat, the chief guest, praised Hindustan Zinc for its impactful efforts in empowering rural women through sustainable livelihoods. He highlighted how the Sakhi Project has become a pillar of strength for women across the Zawar region.
“Women are the strength of the nation. A self-reliant woman leads to a strong society and a stronger India,” Rawat stated while urging women to continue contributing economically and socially.
Sakhi Project: Transforming Lives Across 6 Districts
The Sakhi initiative, a part of Hindustan Zinc’s CSR mission, is actively operational across 6 districts in Rajasthan—Udaipur, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Chittorgarh, and Salumber—as well as Pantnagar in Uttarakhand. Through 2,000+ Self Help Groups (SHGs), the initiative has impacted over 25,000 women.

A certificate distribution ceremony was also held for 100 girls trained in Unarmed Guard and Food Service Management under the Zinc Kaushal program.
