Jaipur, October 8 (Udaipur Kiran): The impact of an active Western Disturbance over North India continues to affect Rajasthan’s weather, with nine districts placed on alert for heavy rain on Tuesday. Several parts of the state, including Jaipur, Nagaur, Hanumangarh, and Sikar, witnessed up to 4 inches of rainfall on Monday, leading to waterlogging in fields and damage to standing Kharif crops.

According to weather experts, rainfall activity will continue over eastern Rajasthan districts till October 8, after which the weather is expected to turn dry with clear skies from October 9 onward.
🌧️ Heavy Rainfall and Crop Damage
On Monday, intense rainfall accompanied by thunder lashed multiple districts. In Jaipur, several areas received continuous rain, leading to water accumulation in agricultural fields. Farmers reported damage to mature crops due to flooding and strong winds.
🌡️ Temperature Drops by Up to 12°C
The rainfall brought a sharp decline in day temperatures, with some cities recording a drop of up to 12°C. In Sikar, the maximum temperature plunged to 22.5°C, marking the coldest day in the state.
In Hanumangarh, the difference between day and night temperatures was just 1°C, with a maximum of 26.4°C and a minimum of 25.4°C.
