Udaipur, February 24 – Under the National Fluorosis Prevention and Control Program, a fluorosis screening camp was conducted at the Community Health Center (CHC) in Dabok, covering students from primary, upper primary, and secondary schools in Ghannoli, Tulsidas Ji Ki Sarai, Dabok, Maharaj Ki Khedi, and Dhunimata. A total of 298 children underwent fluorosis screening to detect potential health risks.

Medical Findings & Interventions
🔹 Dr. Rakesh Saini, an orthopedic specialist, diagnosed bone disorders in 32 children due to fluorosis.
🔹 14 children underwent X-ray examinations for further assessment.
🔹 Dental expert Dr. Nitin educated students on preventing dental diseases caused by fluorosis.
🔹 Children received calcium and vitamin C supplements to mitigate fluorosis-related effects.
The screening was conducted by the RBSK medical team, including Dr. Giriraj Khandelwal, Dr. Vinod Sharma, pharmacist Bhupendra Suthar, and dental assistant Pankaj Chaudhary.
Health Awareness & Water Quality Testing
✔ Deputy CMHO Dr. Ankit Jain highlighted the role of District Fluorosis Consultant Sapna Chaudhary and her team, who educated students on fluorosis prevention and treatment.
✔ Children were informed about the harmful effects of excessive fluoride in drinking water, which can cause:
- Weak and discolored teeth
- Stomach-related issues
- Bone deterioration
✔ Water samples were collected from the villages to assess fluoride contamination levels and ensure safe drinking water sources.

Speaking about the initiative, Chief Medical & Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Ashok Aditya emphasized the importance of early detection and preventive measures in combating fluorosis-related health issues in children.
