Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Saturday accused Meta-owned WhatsApp of exporting user data.
In a post by an X user, it was said that WhatsApp exports user data every night and is used to set target audiences for advertising. They have made users a product, not a consumer.

Musk said that WhatsApp exports its users’ data every night. However, people think that this is a safe medium.
Meta and WhatsApp have not commented on this yet.
Computer programmer and video game developer, John Carmack, took to social media in response to Musk’s reply and asked if he had any evidence that messages were being scanned and transmitted.
Carmack posted on X that he believes that usage patterns and metadata are collected. If you bring a bot into the conversation, you are definitely fueling the issue, but I still believe that the message content is completely secure.
Musk has also made several accusations against Mark Zuckerberg’s company Meta in the past.
Earlier this month, the billionaire tech businessman said about Meta that it is very greedy for taking credit for advertising.
Musk and Zuckerberg have long been considered bitter rivals of each other, and both their companies run social media platforms.
Some time ago, Musk had also challenged Zuckerberg to a cage fight. It was called the fight of the century, but it never happened.
