Dr. Mannalal Rawat; First Tribal MP from the State to Take Oath in Sanskrit

Udaipur, June 25. The newly elected MP, Dr. Mannalal Rawat, took his oath in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. MP Rawat astonished everyone by taking his oath in Sanskrit. He is the first tribal MP from Rajasthan to have taken the oath in Sanskrit in the Lok Sabha. Notably, Dr. Mannalal Rawat hails from the modest village of Chiklad in the Dhariavad region of southern Rajasthan.

Coming from a very humble farming family, Mannalal persevered through arduous circumstances to earn his B.Sc., M.A., and Ph.D. His journey saw him preparing for the IAS, during which he was selected for the position of District Transport Officer. Three months ago, he was serving as the Additional Commissioner in the Transport Department of the Rajasthan Government in Jaipur.
