Diary Reveals Key Details in Delhi Terror Case

New Delhi, 13 November (Udaipur Kiran). The ‘diary’ recovered from terror suspects Dr Umar Mohammad alias Umar-un-Nabi and Dr Muzammil has led to significant revelations in the Delhi terror attack case. Investigating agencies believe the diary may help answer several crucial questions.

According to sources, entries found in the diary indicate that both terrorists had been planning the attack for a long time as part of a larger, well-organised conspiracy. The diaries were recovered on Tuesday and Wednesday from Umar’s room number 4 and Muzammil’s room number 13, where 360 kg of explosives had earlier been found. These rooms were located around 300 metres from Al-Falah University in Dhauj, Faridabad.

The seized diaries contain coded entries. Notably, several mentions of dates between 8 and 12 November were found, indicating critical stages of the planning. The diary also lists around 25 names, most of them from Jammu & Kashmir and Faridabad. All of them have now come under the scanner of investigative agencies.

Sources further revealed that in 2021, Muzammil had introduced Umar and his associates to three handlers. A WhatsApp group was created, followed by the sharing of a Telegram ID. Umar and the others joined this Telegram channel, reportedly operated by a man named Waseem. Umar is also said to have created a group on the Signal app two to three months ago, consisting of only two to four members.

Another key finding shows that after the use of an i20 car and EcoSport in their plans, the suspects were preparing two additional old vehicles to pack with explosives for a larger attack.

It is noteworthy that on 10 November, security agencies busted the terror module and recovered around 2,900 kg of explosives, along with arresting seven suspected terrorists.
