Jaipur, April 15 (Udaipur Kiran): The 77th Rajasthan Police Foundation Day celebrations featured a grand cultural evening at Albert Hall in Ramniwas Bagh, where police band performances captivated the audience. The event was broadcast live through official platforms, highlighting a unique blend of discipline and artistic talent within the police force.

Chief Secretary V. Srinivas attended as the chief guest and extended greetings on the occasion, appreciating the service and commitment of Rajasthan Police. Director General (Law and Order) Sanjay Agrawal delivered the welcome address and shared details of celebrations being organised across the state. The vote of thanks was given by Additional Director General of Police Rupinder Singh. Senior officers, including V.K. Singh, Bipin Pandey, Sachin Mittal, Biju George Joseph, Prashakha Mathur, Sanjeev Narzari, Bhavna Sharma, retired DGPs, and other officials, were present and encouraged the performers. Artists were honoured at the end of the event.
Patriotic and Cultural Performances
The evening began with the Central Band presenting General Salute and Vande Mataram. Band Master Manoj Kumar led the performance of the popular Rajasthani tune “Nibooda.” The BSF Band performed “Taakat Watan Ki Humse Hai,” while the combined brass band played “Sandese Aate Hain,” paying tribute to soldiers.
Veteran Inspector’s Memorable Performance
A highlight of the evening was the performance by 82-year-old retired Inspector Shiv Prakash, who played the mouth organ. His renditions of “Aaja Sanam Madhur Chandni Mein” and “Ek Din Bik Jayega” left the audience spellbound and drew loud applause.
Evening of Evergreen Melodies
Sub-Inspector Radheshyam performed “Main Shayar To Nahin” and “Ik Raasta Hai Zindagi.” Woman recruit Kavita impressed with “Yeh Sama” and “Mere Sapno Ki Rani.” Dinesh Kumar and Kunal Chauhan presented a duet on “Ek Haseena Thi.”
Diversity and Musical Excellence
Shankar Mahadev from Bhilwara performed “Jahan Daal Daal Par Sone Ki Chidiya,” while recruit Tikamchand sang “Rimjhim Gire Sawan” and “Aane Wala Pal.” The Punjab Police Band performed “Saun Di Jhadi,” and the women pipe band display added energy to the event.
Emotional Finale with Visual Spectacle
The Central Band’s renditions of “Kesari,” “Teri Mitti,” and “Amazing Grace” created an emotional atmosphere. Pipe band artist Bhupendra Singh also delivered a heartfelt performance.
The event concluded with an impressive drone show and colourful fireworks, which mesmerised the audience. Thousands of viewers joined the live broadcast, and the celebration received strong engagement on social media.
