Udaipur, 2 September (Kiran News) – The Sukhadia Circle Garden in Udaipur will soon undergo comprehensive beautification as part of an integrated development plan. District Collector and Udaipur Municipal Corporation Administrator, Namit Mehta, inspected the area on Tuesday and directed officials to prepare a detailed plan for the garden’s holistic enhancement.
During his visit to Sukhadia Circle, Collector Mehta was accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Khanna and other officials. The Collector inspected not only the main garden but also the vacant land in front of and behind the Chaupati area. He emphasised that Sukhadia Circle is one of the city’s iconic landmarks and instructed officials to include both the garden and the surrounding vacant land in the integrated beautification plan. He also directed that quality gardening and improved lighting arrangements be ensured, maintaining uniformity and high standards across the project.
Preparations Reviewed for Dussehra-Deepawali Fair
Earlier, Collector Mehta visited the Town Hall to review preparations for the upcoming Dussehra-Deepawali Fair. Given the ongoing construction work of the elevated road outside the Town Hall, alternative locations such as Fateh School Ground and Gandhi Ground were also considered. However, the Town Hall complex was ultimately deemed the most suitable venue, and instructions were given to organise the fair there, as in previous years.
Collector Mehta directed officials to ensure that the fair is organised on a grand scale with the best possible facilities for the public. He also instructed that alternative parking arrangements be explored behind the Municipal Corporation building to address potential parking issues. The review meeting was attended by Municipal Corporation Superintendent Engineer Mukesh Pujari, Executive Engineer (Horticulture) Akhil Agrawal, Revenue Officer Nitesh Bhatnagar, and other officials.
