Udaipur, Rajasthan (July 15, 2024): A tragic accident unfolded near Udaipur as a car carrying five friends returning home from a temple visit veered off a bridge and plunged into a river below. Two of the friends drowned in the incident, while the remaining three managed to break the car’s glass and escape.
The incident occurred late Sunday evening at the Nalafala bridge near Udaipur. According to initial reports, a cow suddenly appeared in front of the car, causing the driver to lose control at a bend. The car swerved off the road, smashing through the railing of the bridge, and plummeting into the Sagwada River below.
A conflicting report from the police suggests that the car was hit from behind by another vehicle, leading to the loss of control. The two friends who perished in the accident were identified as Tilakash Meena (25) and Chirag Meghwal (24). Both hailed from Govind Colony in Kherwara. The group of five friends had been visiting the Salang Bawji Temple in Kakan Sagwada, located in the Rishikesh area, on Sunday.
