The global PC market has recovered after two years of stagnation caused by the coronavirus pandemic. According to research firm IDC, global PC sales have increased for two consecutive quarters, which is good news for PC makers that have been in the doldrums for some time. In this quarter, Lenovo led the market with the highest sales and Apple recorded the highest growth.
Performance of different companies
Among various computer companies, Apple posted the largest growth this year, selling 20.8 percent more Macs than last year.
The Acer Group also performed well and increased its sales by 13.7%.
Looking at the top PC manufacturers, Lenovo remains the leader with the largest market share (22.7%). HP is close behind at 21.1%. Dell Technologies recorded a slight decline in sales, but now has a market share of 15.5 percent.
Reasons for the growth of the PC market
According to this report, there are several reasons for this growth. First, there is growing interest in computers capable of artificial intelligence (AI). Artificial intelligence is a type of computer technology that can learn and act like humans. That’s why businesses and individuals are looking for computers that can handle these powerful new applications.
Another reason PC sales are increasing is that companies are replacing older computers. While many companies refrained from purchasing new computers during the pandemic, they are now starting to upgrade their equipment.
However, it is important to note that not all locations are experiencing this growth. Sales in China are still slow and are affecting the entire market.
