Jaipur, July 11 (Udaipur Kiran) – In a tragic incident in the Charbhuja police station area of Rajsamand district, a petrol-filled tanker overturned on a car following a collision with a trailer on Thursday morning. Four members of a family in the car were crushed to death under the tanker.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and, with the help of a crane, removed the tanker and extricated the bodies from the car, which were then sent to the hospital mortuary.
Police Superintendent Manish Tripathi reported that the accident occurred at around 8:15 AM on Thursday in the Charbhuja police circle on the Rajsamand-Gomti four-lane at Mansingh ka Gudha. The car occupants, residents of Kelwara Rajsamand, were identified as Dinbandhu (32), son of Jagdish Upadhyay; Purushottam alias Pawan Upadhyay (40), son of Jagdish Upadhyay; Renuka Upadhyay (34), wife of Purushottam Upadhyay; and Mansukh Devi (68), wife of Jagdish Upadhyay. They were traveling from Udaipur to Beawar. The collision occurred when the trailer tried to overtake the car, causing the petrol-filled tanker to overturn on it.
Upon receiving the accident report, police personnel rushed to the scene. A civil defense team was also called in to assist with extracting the car from under the tanker. Using a crane, the tanker was lifted, and the bodies of Dinbandhu, Purushottam, Mansukh Devi, and Renuka were retrieved and transported to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead. It was revealed that Dinbandhu and Purushottam were brothers, Renuka was Purushottam’s wife, and Mansukh Devi was the mother of Dinbandhu and Purushottam.
