Apple may bring iPhone 14-like iPhone SE: Expected launch timeline, features and more

iPhone 14-like iPhone SE

Apple’s iPhone SE (rumored to be called the iPhone SE 4) is said to be the next “affordable” iPhone. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Cupertino-based technology company is expected to launch the iPhone 16 series in September, while the iPhone SE (fourth generation) could be launched early next year.

According to Gurman, the iPhone 16 will not bring “significant improvements” to users of the latest models, but those with older models will see “nice updates” in the series.

He shares that current iPhone SE users will have a similar story.

“…next year is likely to see a significant change in the iPhone lineup. “Apple will release a new iPhone SE in early 2025, the first update to its budget phone since 2022,” Gurman said in his weekly Power On newsletter.

What can we expect from the next Apple iPhone SE or the rumored iPhone SE 4?

Not only will the phone be released in early 2025, but Gurman also said it will feature significant design changes and look very similar to the iPhone 14, with “a crisp OLED display that spans the entire device.” According to earlier reports, the phone will have a notch and display sizes of 6.1 inches and 4.7 inches.

Rumors also suggest that Apple plans to keep the “proper” back cover manufacturing process for the iPhone SE 4, which is rumored to be the standard model for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 lineup there.

Apple Intelligence is an artificial intelligence feature that Apple announced at WWDC this year.

There is no specific information on the price, but reports suggest that it will be priced under $500 (roughly Rs. 42,000).

“If Apple can get the new iPhone SE down to around $500, I think it will be a bestseller,” Gurman said.
