Udaipur : The flower show hosted by Urban Improvement Trust by the famous Fatehsagar lakeside is attracting huge crowd from far and near. The show displays a wide array of exotic and rare flower species including hybrids. A joint venture with the district administration, the show is seeing a participation of various government departments, corporate houses, private universities and hospitals. The participants have set up pavilions at the show where flowers of all colours and sizes are blooming and enticing nature lovers and people of all age. Fascinating collection of bonsai trees, breathtaking floral arrangements, attractive array of bougainvillea. cacti and euphoria together present a visual treat for the connoisseurs.
” Among the participants are Udaipur Municipal Corporation, state horticulture dept, various schools and colleges, gardens and hotel groups who have come up with collection of various beautiful and artistic floral arrangements” UIT secretary Ujjwal Rathore said. ” It is indeed a visual delight for visitors as many varieties of flowers and evergreen plants create a splash of colours.
Roses dominate the hundreds of varieties showcased here while marigold, dahlia, gerbera, lilium, anthurium, chrysanthemum, petunia, rosetta orange alongwith bonsai plants lure the nature lovers” show co-ordinator BL Kothari informs. One of a leading firm from Ahmedabad has set up a pavilion showcasing green wall and rooftop gardening model. The flower show grants free entry to the visitors and culminate on January 3. During the event, Hindustan Zinc would be distributing 10,000 saplings free of cost to people under their CSR program to increase awareness on plantation.
