BJP leader shot in Banswara : Referred to Ahmdebad hospital

Udaipur : Pankaj Patidar, a former member of the district working committee of the Bhartiya Janta Party was shot by unidentified men in Arthuna town of Banswara district on Wednesday. Patidar who is known for his proximity with former minister JeetMal Khant, was sitting inside a shop near Arthuna temple when suddenly few men fired at him with desi katta around 3 pm.

The attack was so sudden that people couldnt realize what was happening and tried to save their lives. One of the bullet hit Patidar on his head and he fell unconscious. He was rushed to the nearest hospital from where he has been referred to Ahmedabad, DySP Ghanshyam Sharma said. According to police sources Patidar owes a petrol pump and had a personal rivalry with someone. He was attacked in a previous occasion too, one Sanjay had been held and jailed for the assault then. Police claim to have identified the culprits whom they said would be caught soon.
