Narnaul : 8 children were killed and 15 injured when a school bus overturned in Unhani village of Kanina block in Narnaul district on Thursday morning.
The accident took place when the bus, belonging to GLP School in Kanina, was on its way to school. The bus overturned while overtaking another vehicle.
The injured children were rushed to a hospital in Rewari. The condition of some of the children is said to be serious.
The Haryana government has ordered a probe into the accident. Education Minister Seema Trikha has sought a report from the Deputy Commissioner and the District Education Officer.
The accident has sparked outrage among parents and villagers. They have demanded action against the school management for running the school on a holiday.
