Yogi2.0 will focus on 2-Ds

By Manoj Bhadra Lucknow, March 31 : Trying to shed some of its Hindutava image and issues related to caste and communal politics, the new Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has chalked out a plan to focus on development and delivery. The new cabinet under Adityanath with target the two-Ds to lead the state at the top in the country. Media advisor to chief minister, Mritunjay Kumar told here on Thursday that Development and Delivery would be the main agenda of this government. “In the first regime, people only thought of the government doing politics of Hindutva though the free foodgrains of the Centre and the state, besides free houses, LPG and power connections along with toilets was the prominent welfare programmee of the state government catering to people without any discrimination,” he added. Now in its second term the delivery system would be strengthened by sprucing up development and welfare projects, Kumar said. To boost the 2-Ds, Adityanath has already held a couple of round of meetings with ministers and officials and all have been asked to prepare a detailed projects department-wise within the next 100 days. “The CM asking ministers to present the projects rather than the officials, shows his ask and expectation from every ministry. He wants each minister to know about his department minutely, in order to plug all gaps,” he said. Kumar said Adityanath has already started his effort to make Uttar Pradesh a “Trillion Dollar Economy” and a ground-breaking function will be organised in July to attract around Rs 10 lakh crore investments. “The BJPs win in Hatras, Lakhimpir Kheri and Unnao in the Assembly polls, proves that the opposition’s tirade against the government over specific incidents fell flat and the people accepted it as just incidents and nothing more,” he said.
