Lucknow, 2 September (Kiran News): The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has taken a significant step in higher education by approving the creation of 948 new posts in three newly established universities—Guru Jambheshwar University (Moradabad), Maa Vindhyavasini University (Mirzapur), and Maa Pateshwari University (Balrampur). This includes 468 temporary non-teaching posts and 480 outsourcing posts. The government believes that these positions will strengthen administrative and functional arrangements in the universities, improve educational quality, and provide new employment opportunities for the youth of the state.

Progress in Higher Education
Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay stated that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is setting new records in higher education. This decision is an important initiative to strengthen universities and make the state a leader in education.

The creation of new posts in universities is a concrete step in this direction, aiming to empower higher education and make young people self-reliant.
468 Temporary Non-Teaching Posts
Each university will have 156 temporary non-teaching posts, which will remain effective until 28 February 2026 and may be discontinued if necessary. These posts include pharmacist, electrician, junior engineer, stenographer, assistant accountant, junior assistant, lab technician, lab assistant, deputy registrar, assistant registrar, personal assistant, accountant, chief assistant, medical officer, and staff nurse. Recruitment for these positions will be conducted through the Subordinate Services Selection Commission, direct recruitment, promotion, and deputation.
480 Outsourcing Posts
In addition, each university will have 160 posts filled through external service providers (outsourcing), totalling 480 posts. These include computer operator, cleaner, security guard, gardener, peon, driver, and library attendant. The outsourcing process will be completed through the GEM portal in a fair and transparent manner, ensuring compliance with the relevant guidelines from the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, Labour Department, and Personnel Department. All appointments will strictly follow reservation policies and procedures.
