Bilaspur/Raipur, 2 September (Kiran News): In a special gift for passengers during the festive season, the South East Central Railway has announced the operation of special trains for Diwali and Chhath Puja, along with the addition of extra coaches to regular trains for enhanced reserved berths.

For Diwali, a special train 08795/08796 Durg-Patna-Durg will be operated for two trips. Train number 08795 will run from Gondia on 19 October 2025, while train number 08796 will run from Patna on 20 October 2025. This special train will have a total of 18 coaches, including 2 SLR, 5 general, 8 sleeper, 2 AC three-tier, and 1 AC two-tier coaches.
Similarly, for Chhath Puja, a festival special train 08763/08764 Durg-Sultanpur-Durg will operate for 12 trips. Train number 08763 will run from Durg every Saturday from 13 September to 29 November 2025, and train number 08764 will run from Sultanpur every Sunday from 14 September to 30 November 2025. This festival special express will comprise a total of 20 coaches, including 3 SLR, 4 sleeper, 8 AC three-tier, 1 AC two-tier, 2 AC two-cum-three tier, and 2 chair car coaches.
These special trains are aimed at providing greater convenience and more reserved berth options for passengers traveling to and from Patna and Sultanpur during the festive period.
