Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport

Xiaomi announced the Watch S4 Sport, Mi Band 9 and Xiaomi Buds 5 at an event on July 19 in China. These smart wearable devices were launched simultaneously with Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, Xiaomi Mix Flip and Redmi K70 Ultra. The Xiaomi S4 Sport watch features a titanium body and a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen. The Mi Band 9, on the other hand, has a 1.62-inch display and is said to last up to 21 days. The Xiaomi Buds Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds are said to offer a total playback time of 5 to 39 hours.

The Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport is priced in China at CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 23,000) for the rubber strap and silicone strap options and CNY 2,599 (approximately Rs. 29,900) for the titanium strap option. The three band options are fluoroelastomer, liquid silicone, and Milanese titanium (translated from Chinese).

Meanwhile, the non-NFC version of the Mi Band 9 costs CNY 249 (around Rs 2,900) and the NFC-enabled version costs CNY 299 (around Rs 3,400). The smart band is also available in a special ceramic edition priced at 349 Yuan (approximately Rs. 4,000). The wearable is available in black, blue, rose gold and silver, while additional interchangeable straps start at RMB 69 (approximately Rs. 800).

Xiaomi Buds 5 is priced at CNY 699 (around Rs 8,000) in China. The headphones are available in four color options: Frozen Blue, Moon Shadow Black, Snowy Mountain White and Titanium Gold (translated from Chinese).

The Xiaomi Watch S4 Sport has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS. This smartwatch has 32MB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It also has 5ATM water resistance and a 586mAh battery that is said to provide up to 15 days of battery life in Bluetooth-only mode. In LTE mode with eSIM support, the watch should last up to 9 days. The dimensions are 46.9 x 46.9 x 12.6 mm and the weight without bracelet is 49 grams.

On the other hand, the Mi Band 9 features a 2.5D always-on AMOLED touchscreen and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. The device runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS and is 5ATM waterproof. The smart band has a 233 mAh battery and is said to offer a battery life of up to 21 days.

Both the Watch S4 Sport and Mi Band 9 have preset sports modes that allow you to monitor health metrics such as heart rate and blood oxygen levels. It also supports tracking blood pressure levels and menstrual cycles.

Xiaomi Buds 5 Technical data, features

The Xiaomi Buds 5 earphones are IP54 rated, dust and splash resistant. They have an in-ear design and a triple microphone system with artificial intelligence. The headphones have adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) and Bluetooth 5.4 connection. They support AAC, SBC, aptX Lossless and aptX Adaptive audio codecs. The official list indicates that some headphone models also support the LC3 codec.

The Xiaomi Buds 5 charging case has a 480mAh battery, while each earbud has a 35mAh battery. Without ANC, the total battery life of the headphones in the charging case should be up to 39 hours. The weight of the box is 36.6 grams, the headphones weigh 4.4 grams each.
