Vodafone Idea Launches New ₹548 Prepaid Plan Focused on Calling

Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), India’s third-largest telecom operator, has introduced a new prepaid plan priced at ₹548, aimed primarily at users who prefer long-validity calling benefits over data-heavy packs. Airtel had earlier offered a similar plan, and Vi has now added this option to its portfolio for customers seeking affordable, medium-term validity.

Vi ₹548 Prepaid Plan: Details

The new ₹548 prepaid plan from Vodafone Idea offers:

  • Unlimited voice calling

  • 100 SMS per day

  • 7GB data for the entire 84-day validity

  • No additional bundled benefits

The plan works out to a daily cost of approximately ₹6.52, making it a cost-effective option for subscribers who mainly rely on calling rather than data consumption.

This plan is best suited for users who want their SIM to remain active for a longer period without spending much on data-heavy plans. Once the 7GB FUP data is exhausted, subscribers can recharge with Vi’s data vouchers for additional usage.

Data Top-Up Options

Vodafone Idea’s data vouchers start at ₹22, but these usually come with short-term validity, often just 1 day. Higher-value vouchers offer more data with varying validity periods, depending on customer needs.

Availability and Network Updates

The ₹548 plan has been silently rolled out by Vodafone Idea and is now available across almost all telecom circles in India.

The company is also investing more in strengthening its telecom networks, aiming to improve customer experience in the coming months. Vi continues to offer multiple plans with minimal data and extended validity, catering to users who prefer lower-cost options mainly for calling and SIM retention.
