February 20 – Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama ‘Chhava’ has been declared tax-free in Madhya Pradesh and Goa, marking a significant boost for the film. Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant officially announced the decision, following Madhya Pradesh’s earlier declaration.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated that ‘Chhava’ has been exempted from tax in Goa as a tribute to the valiant legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He emphasized that the film showcases Sambhaji Maharaj’s bravery and his relentless fight against the Mughals and Portuguese for the protection of “Dev, Desh, and Dharma”.
Taking to his official social media handle, CM Sawant expressed,
“I am delighted to announce that the film ‘Chhava,’ based on the life and sacrifice of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, will be tax-free in Goa.”
