Bageshwar, April 25: The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) announced the results for the Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Intermediate) board examinations on Saturday. Similar to other boards, girls outperformed boys in this year’s results.
Gitika Pant from Saraswati Shishu Mandir Inter College in Bageshwar topped the Uttarakhand Board Intermediate examination by scoring 490 out of 500, achieving an impressive 98 percent. Her remarkable performance has brought pride to her district.
Expressing her joy over this achievement, Gitika first thanked her teachers for their guidance and the hard work of all students, which contributed to her success. She also credited her grandfather for his constant encouragement and support throughout her journey.
In addition, Gitika acknowledged the support of her parents and emphasized her dedication to her studies. She mentioned that she did not count hours while studying but aimed to maximize her study time each day. Gitika plans to pursue a career in engineering.
This year, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 was 92.10, while for Class 12, it was 85.11. In High School, the pass percentage for girls was 96.07, compared to 88.03 for boys. In Intermediate, girls achieved a pass percentage of 88.09, while boys had 81.93.
In the Class 10 results, Akshat Gopal from Ramnagar in Nainital district topped the state with 98.20 percent. Ishant Kothari and Bhoomika secured the second position with 98.00 percent, while Yogesh Joshi came in third with 97.80 percent.
In the Intermediate results, Gitika Pant and Sushila Mehendiratta from Udham Singh Nagar jointly topped the state with 98 percent. Aryan from Rishikesh secured the second position with 97.8 percent, and Vanshika from Haridwar came third with 97.0 percent.
It is noteworthy that the UBSE conducted the Class 10 examinations from February 23 to March 20 and the Class 12 examinations from February 21 to March 20.
